So today I moved into my flat for University and all my flatmates seem absolutely lovely. I am really excited to settle in properly and get to know new people.
I now have an official ‘Sense Of Self’ drawer under my new desk where I can keep all my wristbands, business cards, bank statements and other business paraphernalia together and in one place. Magic.
I will be updating all the Sense Of Self social media pages and keeping a close watch on the website and also any orders in between exploring more of the city and having a wild-but-not-too-wild time!
I’m now also beginning to focus more on the speaking and workshop side of business so if you think your school assembly needs spiced up or equally if you are a teacher and think your class could use a little extra encouragement and motivation then I actively encourage you to PLEASE get in touch via the website- http://www.sense-of-self.co.uk – as there is a special page for any questions or comments. (I’d love to hear from you)
Hope everyone is having a brilliant weekend 🙂
Hello again everyone!
I apologise for 1) sporadic posting and 2) lack of posting. Things are busy in a really good way right now. Tomorrow the show run starts for Phantom Of The Opera and I will be in the orchestra pit with my violin for the rest of the week (after work of course.)
Also I have ordered 100 t-shirts which are due to be printed any day now. Great stuff.
Everything seems on track for the website and I have 300 wristbands to give away so look out for me over the festival period in Edinburgh…
I will get into a routine soon I promise, then you won’t have to guess whether I have posted something although I’m sure you all read this blog every day just in case!
Power on through ’till Friday 🙂
A massive thank-you to all my amazing ambassadors! From left to right starting at the top we have: Stuart Ritchie, Kallum Russell, Andrew Gardiner, Michael Saunders, Hannah Thomson, Deborah Smart, Shannon McGlinchey, (myself in blue), Louise Munro and Kimberley Riddell.
The whole evening on Tuesday was amazing and I am grateful to everyone who could come. Now we play the waiting game and once my official business bank account is open then things will start getting even more exciting!
Three cheers for Sense Of Self!
Today I was designing the t-shirts for my Sense Of Self Ambassadors (which are really awesome by the way!!!) and I was thinking about the fact that it is very nearly pre-launch party time which means it is also very nearly launch time too!
I’m pushing to launch Sense Of Self over the summer so that I can give my full attention to making sure everything runs smoothly and then can focus positively on University when I get there. My goal is to have Sense Of Self developing throughout my time as a student so that when I finish University I have a ready-made job and an ever growing business to support myself and avoid the panic of “I have a degree but there aren’t any jobs” and hopefully be able to offer jobs to others and build a Sense Of Self team.
But yeah today I remembered where the initial inspiration for Sense Of Self came from. It was because I always dreamed of being an art student and going to art school but then the closer I found myself towards the stage of my life where I had to make a decision, I realised that art is my hobby. Drawing is fun for me. I like to paint whatever inspiration throws at me. I do not enjoy being restricted and told what to do because creativity is a freedom and a form of expression and I wanted it to always stay that way for me. I want to feel like an art student without having the pressures of being an art student.
Back to business. My dream for Sense Of Self is that it will give others opportunities to find an idea that excites them and run with it. I want to show the world that you can absolutely live the life you always dreamed of. I want to start as an example of this and watch the world take notice.
Before I get carried away though we have the pre-launch party. Getting close, exciting!
