It’s been a little while since I have posted and for that I apologise.
I have recently had this really strong feeling that there is something I could be doing right now other than everything which currently occupies my time. I haven’t exactly discovered what that thing is yet but it has encouraged me to try a new approach to business.
So far I have managed to prioritise my time better so that I am more efficient and actually get things done instead of finding lots of other non-important things to do. (Which means that I finally did laundry and made a start on my Philosophy essay!)
Currently I’m writing the OFFICIAL mission statement for Sense Of Self as it’s one thing to have a really great idea and a fab ethos but the important thing is to have it written down and saved everywhere so that I can hand it out left, right and centre until people start taking notice!!
I even have an action plan that will take me right up to Christmas (oh goodness, it really IS that time already…) but then things will snowball into next year and maybe people will start to see a change in their every day lives.
Although I am getting good at posting really interesting things on the Facebook page so you should definitely check that out 🙂
The weather today is actually gorgeous here. I always feel inspired and happy when the sun is shining and it’s even kinda warm today too! Brilliant!
I’m working on my video pitch for the San Francisco Summit competition. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a competition where five businesses will be taken to San Francisco for a week of inspiration! There are meetings with some of the worlds biggest names in business and I really cannot think of a better opportunity for entrepreneurs! To enter you have to make a 30-second video pitch explaining why you should get to go and then the successful ones are shortlisted etc, etc. I have a really quirky idea for mine because believe it or not it is very difficult to explain much in 30 seconds.
I’m also part of a business tracking group where we meet up every month or so to discuss our goals and set targets, then we are there to give each other a kick on the backside to make sure that we are achieving as much as we can. I have noticed that my attitude and productivity have improved wildly. It’s GREAT!
Right. I really need to get on with this. The competition deadline is two weeks away and as usual I am being just a little over-ambitious… but I can do it!!
Yeah I’m listening to ‘Anything Goes’ by Guns N Roses.
I feel kinda inspired today because it’s been a good day on the think front. I’ve been thinking a lot oh AND I think I forgot to tag my last post in anything which is annoying but hey-ho.
It has been almost a year since I won the competition and I am looking forward to going back again this year to talk about my progress and to see all the new ideas this year.
Ambitiously I would LOVE to get things going and take the first steps to actually starting Sense Of Self, but honestly I am really scared. Sigh.
Please keep telling everybody on the planet about my blog and I’m going to get round to making a Facebook page too.
Busy week at work coming up too which I’m looking forward to. Oh and it’s almost November!!?? Argh time is literally running away from me but here’s some food for thought from a really fascinating Spanish guy I work with –
“Where does the time go when the time passes?”
I have come up with a design about allowing good thoughts to blossom because I think a lot of young people are held back by negative perceptions. It’s just a rough idea but I’d love any feedback!
I’m trying not only to tackle visible insecurities like braces etc but also mental issues.
Further note- I got my braces off yesterday and yes now I have my teeth all in order but it feels like I have been whacked in the mouth. Ouch.
