It is officially 2015! Hooray!
Just a quick note to let you know that I have big plans for myself and for Sense Of Self in the coming year.
Thinking about doing a monthly podcast and updating all social media platforms regularly.
Take a moment and have a think about your life. Are you happy? Do you love your job? Are you studying your dream subject? Do you wake up every day excited about your life?
Something to think about anyway. I’m in two minds about things. Sometimes I think that I should just keep doing what I’m doing, work hard and slowly build my way up into something fantastic. Other times I want to completely change everything and go on an adventure.
I’d love to be travelling the world talking about what it means to finally have a sense of who you are as a person and how important it is to nurture self-esteem in others. I have pages and pages of notes and ideas that I am insanely passionate about and I’m currently looking for opportunities to share my thoughts with the world.
Imagine being paid to share your ideas and do something that you love. It’s the ultimate goal really. This is what I’m working towards. That first opportunity to earn money from what I love to do.
And tomorrow is December which means goodness how fast this year has flown but also that there will be a new ‘Quote of the Month’ on the website which you absolutely must read!
It’s been a little while since I have posted and for that I apologise.
I have recently had this really strong feeling that there is something I could be doing right now other than everything which currently occupies my time. I haven’t exactly discovered what that thing is yet but it has encouraged me to try a new approach to business.
So far I have managed to prioritise my time better so that I am more efficient and actually get things done instead of finding lots of other non-important things to do. (Which means that I finally did laundry and made a start on my Philosophy essay!)
Currently I’m writing the OFFICIAL mission statement for Sense Of Self as it’s one thing to have a really great idea and a fab ethos but the important thing is to have it written down and saved everywhere so that I can hand it out left, right and centre until people start taking notice!!
I even have an action plan that will take me right up to Christmas (oh goodness, it really IS that time already…) but then things will snowball into next year and maybe people will start to see a change in their every day lives.
Although I am getting good at posting really interesting things on the Facebook page so you should definitely check that out 🙂
Have you ever taken a selfie? Well this competition is for you! More details at http://www.sense-of-self.co.uk/competitions.html
So today I moved into my flat for University and all my flatmates seem absolutely lovely. I am really excited to settle in properly and get to know new people.
I now have an official ‘Sense Of Self’ drawer under my new desk where I can keep all my wristbands, business cards, bank statements and other business paraphernalia together and in one place. Magic.
I will be updating all the Sense Of Self social media pages and keeping a close watch on the website and also any orders in between exploring more of the city and having a wild-but-not-too-wild time!
I’m now also beginning to focus more on the speaking and workshop side of business so if you think your school assembly needs spiced up or equally if you are a teacher and think your class could use a little extra encouragement and motivation then I actively encourage you to PLEASE get in touch via the website- http://www.sense-of-self.co.uk – as there is a special page for any questions or comments. (I’d love to hear from you)
Hope everyone is having a brilliant weekend 🙂
I have just returned home after spending a week in Cambridge as a participant on a Transformational Leadership programme. It was run by ‘The Change’ and let me tell you they absolutely changed my life. I arrived with no expectations as I really couldn’t imagine what it would be like, where we would be living or even what kind of things we would be doing.
We were staying in Burwell House and it was like a big old fashioned home with massive grounds. A proper retreat. Around forty people arrived and we all ate together and helped prepare meals and clear u. It was like a big family. The activities and learning sessions really tore apart everything I thought I knew about myself and helped me to discover who I truly wanted to be. My descriptions don’t do it justice but I would urge everybody to check out their website and like them on Facebook and if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to participate in one of their courses or volunteer with them then do it!!!
I actually spent my 18th birthday learning how to be more mindful and aware of myself while also finding the confidence to believe in the power of my intentions. If I bring out my violin with the intention to make people happy by playing music, a few bum-notes should not discourage me from that.
Now that I am 18 I can celebrate with champagne as my Sense Of Self sales appear into MY bank account and not my Dad’s.
After a week of spiritual learning I feel fully equipped to change the world and believe in my business!
Make sure to check out the website tomorrow to find out what September’s quote of the month will be…
